My name is Chef G-Rub, Co-Owner of Pit Smoked BBQ, where every bite tells a story. I have been serving the Los Angeles community authentic smoked BBQ for over 10 years. I have a true passion for authentic BBQ, taking pride in serving up slow-smoked meats, mouthwatering sides, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.
I believe BBQ is more than just food—it’s a tradition, an experience, and a way to bring people together. Whether it’s my signature smoked chicken, tender ribs, or juicy hotlinks, everything we make is crafted with love, care, and the finest ingredients.
For me, it’s not just about feeding your stomach; it’s about satisfying your soul. As a chef, I use time-honored smoking techniques to bring out deep, rich flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. Every dish is made from scratch, using the freshest local ingredients and a little bit of Southern hospitality.

My Story
LA’s Best Pop-UP BBQ since 2014
My journey began the day I found out I would be having my first kid. I wanted to create something timeless and everlasting to pass on to my future generations. It was no longer going to just be me in this world. With that in mind, I took time, effort, and a lot of sweat and tears to become a top BBQ chef. Since then, I’ve become a beloved Chef for BBQ lovers far and wide. From family gatherings to special celebrations, I am honored to be a part of your memorable moments. Through the years, I have diligently worked on perfecting my craft. If you ask my family, I will never get the BBQ smell out of any of my clothes. But, for me that smell is my life, my legacy, and my hard work to create food people will never forget.
